Taste 2007 Edinburgh
Italians
are well known food lovers, and we make no exception. When we heard about this
food fair we bought immediately the tickets. So late in June one Friday
afternoon after work we popped in. The big flat stretch of grass in the Meadows
was set up for the occasion with a variety of tents in an oval shape, with a
central area with bars, live music and space to relax, eat and drink.

Fine day
that Friday, the sun was shying appearing from behind the big white clouds. The
place was crowded, but still plenty
of space for everyone. The welcome drink introduced us to this heaven, no loud
music, just a paradise of smells and colours.

We really
enjoyed all the samples of fine organic products; we’ve also had a fine dinner
while enjoying live blues from the
central stage. There was also time for a Leffe Beer Master Class, a real treat
… it was an occasion to find the perfect food match for each type of beers. At
the end I was a bit tipsy but satisfied.

We’ve
finished the evening with a nice chief workshop with brilliant
cooks showing how to cook delicious recipes.
