Why is Skype so important ?
We
do not have to forget that internet is the most powerful tool
available. In order to better understand the power of the Net is
important to understand that is all about speed. In fact once that we
have the right speed everything will be available.
Let's talk about what can be substitute with a fairly fast and flat
braodband connection:
First
of all we could say that Royal Mail won't see most of the letters that
we were used to send out. In oder words even if taken for granted never
forget emails,
as a key service. My advice is try to make them even more smart, the
thing that I found particularly useful is the text notification of new
emails. This service allows you to avoid connecting and opening Outlook
without being sure that there is something that you want to read.
Nowadays most of the ISP offer this service in some case free
(www.orange.net) or charging for the messages, it worth checking it out.
Everyone knows that national telephone companies overcharge for every
service, firstly the connection charge, but also for any single call.
For this reason Skype as soon
as made its entrance in the internet arena had a big success. The idea
is easy, if we can transfer information (zero and one) fast
enough we surely can send voice through the Internet (VoIP). Skype
managed to achieve it so well that last year it has be bought by eBay
for approx $1,5bn ... no bad ! Calls between computers connected
through internet are free and is also possible to use it to call
"normal" telephone line at competitive prices.
So why do not give it a go ... just download the program , register and give me a call , my username is : mcapri2003 .
