Ceilidh in the palace
Linlithgow
is a gorgeous wee town just few miles
from Edinburgh.
So when we’ve been invited by a friend to go to a Ceilidh
there is was already attractive, but when we also heard that it would have
taken place into the palace there was not way that we could say no.

The Linlithgow Palace
is one of the most beautiful historic monuments in Scotland. We’ve already been there
just as tourist in one occasion and the central courtyard is the perfect place
for Scottish traditional dance.

After a
wonder around the loch and the park surrounding the palace we enjoyed one of
the finest Ceilidh we’ve ever been
to. We’ve danced for hours under the bright sky. The band performed not only
the classic but also some new tunes. The participants were a mix between the
town inhabitants plus a group of foreign students from the local language
school.
