We always try to make the most out of a nice sunny day. So last Saturday instead that laying all day on our sofa we decided to go to this festival that we knew was in Glasgow. As everything decided at the last minute/second there was no plan, just get ready go to the station catch the train and look for the venue. As usual this half-sentence on paper can take up to 2 hours (women!!), well once arrived at Waverley station we were welcomed by the Tartan Army. Yes, at Hampdem there was Scotland-Ukraine, this definitely made our train trip more entertained.

Once arrived at Queen’s Street station in Glasgow, we were lucky enough to find the venue of the food festival fairly rapidly. Short queue to get in and even although the building from outside looked kind of small , we enter a very spacious hall with a variety of stalls from organic producers.

As soon as we got in the smell was unbelievable ! It was lunch time so the first thing that we did was looking for a wee bar to have some food. We went for a small lunch that was later completed by organic coffee + organic cake + organic chocolate chips ……

What can I say more …. if you’re looking for food that doesn’t only look good

The social people of my department organised a day out @ the horses. Just 15min from Edinburgh of the costal town of Musselburgh there is a Racecourse. I have to admit that it was a friday like no others. We’ve left the office at lunch time for the first race at 2pm. The day was unforgettable: blue sky and warm sun, maybe the last of the season. Having no idea on how the whole betting thing is working I had to rely on a colleague for some tutoring. That resulted helpful to understand the system, but in the end I wasn’t lucky nothing to be too worried about. It was an interesting experience more for the nice horses and place than anything else.
